It's available here (Poland) as well, though in very limited quantities from what I was able to gather. Officially the sales start on the 4th of March, but I've managed to found a shop where you can buy it right away ...

I'm not really sure how the distribution works in case of such a high-profile(cost?) camera as A1. The salesman I was talking to on the phone told me he has one available because one of the preorderers has second thoughts about the purchase and that the shops only receive as many copies as were preordered (and that the next batch will arrive in April).
I really don't know if that was his sales talk to make me buy one or conditions specific to Poland (it's an absurdly high price for a camera (well, not only for a camera) around here )...

Well March 9th probably won't affect my first day to shoot the A1 anyways...I didn't have much confidence in getting the A1 shipped to me across the country in order to use on the March 6th weekend and had resigned myself to not get to shoot until Friday March 12th anyways. Now that will probably still be the same date.
