Were these shot from the coffer dam? Haven't been there for a while and glad that you're having some great success. Heard there were some white pelicans around the other day. Did you manage any captures?

All from the kayak but the shorebirds were all in that general vicinity.
With permission of my girl, a shot she took last weekend with her new R5. She loves the animal eye AF on birds. The keeper rate has gone up drastically, which translates to more culling as well. But that's a luxury.
Nice portrait! The R5 appears to have a very nice look in the images. I remember struggling with the 7DII, then with the 90D and shortly the EOS-R (which was ok. but resolution too low for crop mode). The R5 sure does seem to bring it all together for Canon users.

Amazing how that works, right? I have the same problem, on a smaller scale. I thought having more "keepers" would make it easier, not harder. But, it is a luxury, because it hurts a lot more to have an almost great shot, but the focus is off, or some other issue.
