Dave I particularly like the 2nd shot. With no lake showing below and ignoring the water droplets it gives a different feel as if he just went off a jump and was flying above solid ground.
Mike beautiful owl shots, magic light. I love the hover with the light catching the underside of his wings, and the intense eyes looking at his prey. The second is equally beautiful with the warm light on the tops of the wings and an intense look right at you which really shows off those beautiful yellow eyes.
Great job! The first image is absolutely stunning! Right time, right place with gorgeous light and so perfectly exposed, and a great capture and framing.
While waiting for the fog to clear this morning to hopefully click on a few Eagles, I was fortunate to have witnessed something remarkable right in front of me. A Fog-bow!
Thankfully I had a landscape lens with me to do a quick 7 frame handheld pano.
The Eagles were roosted almost right in the middle of the Fog-bow but were not visible right then.

From today while Amy and I took our first photography drive in my new Jeep and was rewarded with our first Snowy of the of the season :-D
Here is the jeep
Congrats on the Jeep – sting gray is epic. Our Rubicon diesel is about two months old – sarge green with tan leather. Power out the wazoo, great mpg, effortlessly holds interstate speeds at high altitude up steep grades. Wish ours had those upgraded wheels!
As COVID is REALLY heating up in Indiana, I imagine work will be getting a lot busier. Sad to see that for so many reasons, but I do have a decent number of shots I've processed recently and have way too many to process still.

Thanks. I was not sure about the diesel at first, one test drive and I was sold. Impressive fuel milage. I test drove a 4 cyl turbo also but like the diesel more. We have wanted a jeep for awhile now and finally pulled the trigger. Amy and I really like the mix of ruggedness vs luxury in the package. That sage green with tan is sweet, around here most of the green have black seats. Best of luck with yours.
