Not sure if you have ever been there but the Shoal lakes are nice. I haven't explored all of it yet. Along the West side of West Shoal is a bird preserve. The South of North Shoal lake (which is one of my favourite spots) has marsh with good access. Lots of different species. If you want to avoid all the bad gravel road you can get to that spot via Tuelon and the gravel starts at Inwood. Too late now I would think as most birds left or are migrating.
This is my first ever attempt to post a picture here, so cut me some slack please.
Canon R5 with Canon EF 11-24mm f/4.0 L. Processed in LR, but this is one image - not an HDR composite. We were looking for a dramatic effect and the original was intentionally way underexposed to control shooting into the sun. We continue to be amazed at what you can pull out of the shadows with the R5.
Enjoying the "unique visitors" theme and we're experiencing an irruption of sorts - crazy year in many respects - with the appearance of the Grosbeaks who usually don't winter this far south. Not a worthy photo but at least it captures the excitement for us.
