Decided to give the R5 a try using higher ISO for my indoor dog agility work. Image was run through DxO Pure RAW and edited in PS CC2022. All in all, not bad at all!
The old fashion EF16-35mm f/4L IS still seems to work ok on the R5.
That's what I keep telling myself at least so I don't become weak and grab that RF 14-35.
I had been reading so much about how the R5's electronic shutter sucked and yet a engineer friend of mine who is a big fan and has one of the R5's encouraged me to go out and stress it. I put on my RF100-500L and the RF1.4x teleconverter and even hit the 1.6x crop setting to max out the reach as these coots are way out in the river. I went down to the Snake River where they hang out and there was a bunch of them. As soon as they saw me they started scooting away pretty quickly. I had the multi frame shoot setting on (not the + one) and shot away. I ended up with at least 60 shots to compare. There ALL looked exactly as you see this one, sharp and clear. So I have nothing bad to say about the ES. I don't do sports so perhaps that's to my benefit. But the wildlife turn out rather nicely with it. I've read some birder pro's reviews that also said it works very well indeed without issues. So I'll be sticking with the ES unless I need flash.

Problem is, I see no option to insert a picture, only via a link
