I actually think that one is back focused on the tree (at least at full mag of the RAW it appears that way but DOF covered the bird enough to look somewhat sharp at web res after Topaz). I think the other ones are all sharper when viewing the RAW files, before Topaz. But that is probably because I wasn't aiming at the bird as we were just testing the odd difference in EVF magnification and wondering if the Canon 600 was longer than the Sony 600. Still don't know what the Canon EVF is doing but doesn't really matter. At least we know the two lenses are identical focal length when comparing the images back in PS layers.
Ha! Yes, but not mine Trying it out to see if I need one, or if I can get by with my 400 DO. Been desperately searching for subject matter, owls make for a good one!
You guys are really nailing these BIF shots. We leave for a 2 week vacation on a lake in Maine soon and I sure hope the resident eagles and loons cooperate.
