Anyone tried it out with the 400 5.6L yet? Preferably with the 1.4TC. Interested in autofocus performance, sharpness, and how much IBIS helps.
Thanks!
This guy has tested the 400mm f/5.6L with the R5 and loved the combination. But no 1.4X TC attached.

Here are some photos made with the R5 and the 800mm F11
Very nice. I got 800mm F11 sitting n my closet since that came in on time. But nothing to attach it to, since both places I ordered R5 to are backordered.
Went out with the RF 70-200 for the first time today. I am pretty impressed with eye/head AF. Once it finds a person it is very sticky and the photos are largely great from that point (so long as you aren't an idiot using auto ISO and forget to keep an eye on the shutter speed - woops).
I also tested out the animal eye AF on some dogs and ducks and it seems to be pretty good. I have also been feeling left out since everyone else is posting photos of birds so I'll add a photo of a duck this time!
I still haven't had enough time to shoot much with the new camera, but so far I've been pretty happy. This Great Blue Heron was from my kayak at ISO 1600, f/5.6, 1/250, 600mm. I converted the RAW to DNG and then edited in Lightroom. Topaz Noise Reduction software utilized as well.

Are there any indoor low light shots? I shoot concert work and this is my last concern.
Thanks in advance
Basically nothing is allowed indoors in california right now so I won't be able to test this for a while. As a medical professional, I suggest that until a vaccine is out and thoroughly tested, no one should be doing anything indoors with groups of people as it is unsafe.
I'll see if I can go for a walk tonight with the RF50 and shoot some streetlight lit photos.

The eye tracking with electronic shutter certainly doesn't suck. Here are 19 consecutive frames, 400DO+1.4x, perfectly in focus.
Thanks so much for sharing that. Exactly what I wanted to see!!
Looks like the wings are pretty good in most of those also!! I see maybe a couple with a bit of outer wing "whisping". How many do you see with distortion when viewing the individual frames?
