Guess who came back to the yard. The Cuckoo came and hung out around the pond and even went into the stream. I did not get pictures in the stream as I was blocked by plants but this is a perch right at the stream. This was a real treat to see it this close.

Congrats Rob! You gotta love it when you can scratch one off the list for the first time. But what makes it even sweeter is when it happens right in your own backyard due to the environment enhancements you made!
Keep it up and you'll have me backfilling our pool sooner rather than later.

Yes, nice grab on a bird I haven’t seen for years. It’s a shame that you didn’t capture the underside of its tail. Maybe the cuckoo’s range is expanding?
