Barn owl. Shot at ISO 12800 in APS-C mode, and cropped, hence the lack of detail because of aggressive NR. The darn owl would not come out until after the sun had gone down. But I am quite happy with the AF performance in low light.
Love the fresh and bright green leaves of Spring! I wonder how the owls feel about it, as it offers less of a camouflage for them.

He was already worked up so anything was probably too much. He had just ran off the Heron and shortly before that a vulture. I was on a bridge observing with the bridge structure keeping me from getting some great shots of all this action and I just got this as he flew back up after clearing everyone away.
