View over the Mayfield valley from Ringinglow, on the outskirts of Sheffield in South Yorkshire, last night at dusk. This was a focus stack, which is a new technique for me. Some other shots from the session might be worth sharing.

Only a little bit Brian. It's my "music-making" name - I've put a few records out over the years - which I picked in the mid-80s when I was reading William Gibson's cyberpunk book Neuromancer. In that book "Grievous Angel" is a crowd control chemical which induces ecstasy among rioters. Teenage me thought that was a terrifically exciting concept to play with.
I was most surprised when many years later I realised it was the name of a country rock album! Gibson was listening to GP on repeat while writing Neuromancer and stole the album title. I quite like Gram Parsons but I'm more of a fan of electronic and dance music, especially the variants of jungle and UK garage (2step, dubstep, funky etc.). I like to think I bring some of that aesthetic to my moody shots of South Yorkshire landscape!

For me this is most used as a travel lens. I do most of my travel in Fall. Life getting in the way this year due to injury from an accident so maybe not this year.
I also have a good archive of images so this thread won't die. I will post some when I get out of the hospital.

Uh oh, sorry to hear that Steve. Hope you're on the mend and on the way towards discharge soon!

Humans for scale - so few pictures of Delicate Arch convey just how big it is. This image captures its beauty and size...
That's Scott, it blows me away every time I see it in person. I had a nasty case of veritgo hit me on this last trip when that wind starting whipping up around the bowl, I was hanging on for dear life and trying to get any pics I could

Hey there everyone, long time no see.
I feel a bit like Scott, everyone has moved on to newer releases and I am sticking around.
I do most of my photography with this lens. Unless someone releases a lighter newer 24-150 or 20-100 this baby will stay with me for a long time. Very versatile for hiking although a bit heavy.
