I tried a few in the yard, handheld first attempt at these small birds. Got a couple but getting through branches and seed pods to get a good focus point was tough (for me anyways). Cropped some with an A7Riv. (I tried a small upload with a 1200 pixel "long" side and it was mushy. This perhaps "too large" but shows the results.

I now have the R5 and wished I had it when this happened. After shooting the R4 for over a year with the 200-600, and moving to the R5 less than 2 weeks ago, I can say that the R5 is considerably better. In all aspects. But still in all, I am fond of the R4 + 200-600MM combo and it has served me well.
