It was a bit different. Normally, there may be a half dozen swallows in the area.
Yesterday, I thinking there was close to two hundred of them flittering around.
On the fishing pier hand rail, at any given time there were 50 to 100 birds standing on them.
When you walked out on to it, it was like a Hitchcock movie.
A74, 200-600, 1.4 tc, in silent shooting mode. ( yeah, I'm a rule breaker )

Exposure corrected +0.44 Stops.

Hey all, I've been mulling over a 200-600 for a while now but have been sitting on the fence and not 100% sure. I think possibly the compressed pictures on here when viewed on a 43" 4k monitor aren't helping its case.
Does anyone have any nice pictures that I can pixel peep at native resolution?

I went for a walk yesterday, to test the new 1.4x TC, and met this hawk in a nearby park. The second image is at the effective 1260 mm focal length (1.4x TC + APS-C in-camera crop).
