Great horned owl.
Their first attempt this year failed, probably because of the weather we had.
So this is their second try.
Little ones should be popping their heads out soon.

Just reposting an old bif sequence taken with the 1.4TC at 840mm. Amazing how accurate it is. Most of the missed ones (not included) appear to be vertical motion blur. Download and view in local viewer for best results.

Going out on a limb calling the 200-600 the best airshow lens ever Fort Lauderdale Airshow practice yesterday (and really nice to shoot something besides birds with the A1/200-600 combo )

It was a slow day today, so I did some testing of my newly-acquired 1.4x TC on the old 200-600mm G - the combo seems to work pretty well if you have decent light.

Got my first swallow shots of this year! I would have had trouble putting a swallow in the view finder if I had used the 600 GM+1.4TC. The background s the lake surface.
