A juvenile burrowing owl pouncing for some small insects… I couldn’t believe the size of the wingspan in the second image. I anticipated that it would bring up the wings and I aimed up more than down but I didn’t expect the width of the wingspan to be that much.

The hummingbirds haven't really shown up at the park where I've photographed them for the last couple of years.
So this is from last year around this time.
It's good for a size reference, and I just like this shot.
