Took a trip down to the local Coast Walk earlier this week. Not a lot was going on. Cormorants were on nests. Pelicans were around but had lost their breeding colors. Saw some nice hummingbirds and had a couple of Peregrine Falcons fly by. Here are some samples.

It feels like we've had about a week of sunlight since October.
Hope the woodies hang around.
A friend told me of a spot where they'll actually swim by instead of swim away from a person.

Rain all weekend here in Iowa. Had to turn the furnace back on yesterday. There are some woodies close to home, but waiting for some better light...great pic by the way.
