Agree. Perfect exposure for the white feather too! Dan, snow geese have black wingtips and short necks. They are nowhere as elegant as the swans when in flight. If you dare to venture out, head out to the Middle Creek Wildlife Management Area in Pa in a week or so, you will see one of the most amazing natural wonders when ten of thousands of snow geese take off at the same time. Lat year at the peak there were over 200,000 snow geese there, which was a record.

Thanks Douglas. Suzanne & I get the 1st vaccine tomorrow! FINALLY!!
Maybe a nice road trip is due....It is a relief for us older folks. Especially if 1 partner has long term issues.

Dan, this particular picture of the snow geese was taken with the A7RIV+100-400 GM, which doesn't really belong to this thread, I just wanted to show you what you can see at Middle Creek in the next week or two.
Here are some shots from yesterday with the A7RIV+200-600.

This week at Loes Bluffs in Missouri there were 20,000 snow geese. We hope to get down there next weekend. Hopefully I can get a shot similar to yours.
