It was pretty dark when 2 of these owls started their prowl, after about 10 photographers decided to give up for them, I stuck it out with one other guy, I was lucky to be in a location where they started to buzz the prairie.

This little birds are so skittish is can be difficult to photograph them (at least in my area). Yesterday I noticed they kept going back to the same location over and over (they'd get spooked, fly off for a bit then eventually come back) so I tucked myself next to a pine tree for cover and just sat and waited. I was on the high side of a snow bank and was hopeful I'd get a few isolated on top and got a few lucky shots

Hello all, this is my first post on this thread. I moved from Nikon to Sony last week. I have had the A9ii/200-600 combo for just a few days. The following images were taken with the 1.4tc attached.
Needless to say, the combo is very impressive.

You've done well, here.
For such beautiful birds, my images of Snow Buntings have always been "meh".

Chris, glad to see the Sony is working for you. Are these from that wildlife area west of town?
This area is southeast of Des Moines, about 20 minutes south of I80. Once we get past this covid mess, I would recommend a visit. The visitor center is very nice, but closed at this time.

Great photos and welcome. That’s the setup I augmented my Nikon gear with last spring, like you said it’s impressive.

Thank you! I look forward to contributing to the forum. The A9ii and 2-6 is very impressive. I need to sit down and go through the settings, but I have been too excited so far to take a break from shooting.
