I was trying to shoot something else but this bird made some acrobatic moves overhead. It was hunting for some insects. I thought it is a meadow lark but according to David it is a Western Kingbird and yes, it is. FYI, the image is cropped quite a bit here...

Thank you very much, David! I saw a meadow lark there previously but you are right, the beak is slimmer and pointier. It seemed that it was hunting or chasing something, which I assume are tiny insects. So, that’s a Western Kingbird then.

ISO 200, f8.0, 1/800 second.
Exposure corrected +0.20 Stops.

Portrait of a juvenile peregrine falcon... I ended up using this lens at the middle FL quite a bit since the distance to the action is really close. Although I zoomed in fully for this image but there are images in this sequence where about 300mm was plenty to get the falcon to be frame filling. This juvenile falcon landed there fairly close to me. Even now, I am still impressed with the optical performance of this lens.
