These are not the finest quality photos but I'm exciting about them anyway. Bobcats are somewhat rare around my area (they are around but not seen much and not a large population) and there have been sightings over the years. I've spent a lot of time outdoors in New England and I've never seen on in person.
Like I mentioned there have been sightings in my area and today while looking out the window I saw a couple of large brown shapes on the frozen pond that is a 2-3 hundred years behind my house. My first thought was "deer" but I grabbed the binoculars and I couldn't believe it.. 3 Bobcats (mother and 2 cubs) walking on the ice. Grabbed the camera, ran out back and got a few shots. At that distance, through trees there was no-way to get a technically good shot but this is one of those instances were it really doesn't matter
All of these are cropped (photo at the bottom is a random cell-phone shot I had of my backyard..you can see the distance to the pond)

I've seen a bobcat out in the wild ONCE...over many years of outdoor expeditions. If I got a few shots I'd be excited too! I like that second shot.

Yep, bobcats have been tough for me to get also.
I've seen them three times, able to get photos twice.
The photo chances both came in The Badlands NP.
I think we had about 30 second each time to get the photo.
