short update on my TZE and samyang 45 1.8.
yesterday i was in my local photo store and tried for the first time the new sigma 35 f2 lens on tze and z7ii. everything was working great. then i switched to my samyang 45 1.8 and the lens did not work at all. no af and also no mf. we also tried the lens on sony bodies, same problem.
when i got home i used lens station to see if i can reinstall firmware, lens station was not able to recognize the lens anymore...
did anybody experience similar problems with samyang lenses?

I have a Z6 and sigma 35mm F/1.2. I updated to firmware 4.1 but the lens still won't focus at all. In your thread you talked about "Sigma 35mm f/1.8" but in the last photo it says "Sigma 35mm DG DN f/1.2" and the quality looks really nice. May I know which lens did you use, was it F/1.2 or F/1.8?

Is anyone seeing very noticeable pincushion distortion with their TZE-01?
I am using it on a Z7 with several Sony (50mm f/2.8 OSS; 24-205mm f/4 G OSS; 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 G OSS) and Sigma DG DN (35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art; 45mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary; 70mm f/2.8 DGDN Macro Art; 85mm f/1.4 DG DN Art) and 35mm f/2.8 DI III Tamron.
Firmware has been updated to 3.0. (I have 2 of teh adapters) I tried reverting to firmware v2, but it does no seem to make any difference.
The 85mm Sigma DG DN Art is the worst, followed by the Sony 70-300.
The Sony 24-105 is almost distortion free at 24mm, but gets increasingly worse at the focal length increases.
The 45mm Sigma and 70mm Sigma Macro have moderate distortion.
The 35mm f/1.8 Sigma, 35mm f/2.8 Tamron and 50mm f/1.8 Sony are almost distortion free.
Below is a sample of the Sigma 85mm DG DN, Sigma 45mm f/2.8 and Sigma 35mm f/1.8. All at maximum aperture.

Sorry for the confusion. It is the Sigma f/1.2 DC DN Art E-mount.
Thanks! Not sure why my combination is the same but won't work. Are you using Z6? What is the firmware in your Z6? Did you update your TZE-01's firmware?

I am using it on a Z 6 and Z 7. I have the latest firmware (v3.2)on both cameras and the TZE-01 firmware was updated 2 or 3 weeks ago to the latest on TechArt's web site.

Thank you. I updated the firmwares of the adaptor and my Z6 as you said, but the focus action still stuck at the closest point. Not sure what's the problem. Will go find some Sony camera body and lens to see if the adaptor and lens themselves have any problem.
How is the focus and tracking speed on your Z6? Anything to complain?

Hey folks, a couple questions based on your experiences as I go back and read this full thread:
How have your experiences been with video? Does the TZE-01 introduce any noise, and is the autofocus performance any different?
Is anyone adapting the GM 24mm f1.4 and/or the brand new GM 35mm f1.4? These are basically my dream lenses — they’re my two most-used focal lengths, and I badly want Z versions of both focal lengths that are f1.4 instead of f1.8, and are that size and weight rather than adapting gigantic F-mount glass via the FTZ. But I’m wondering if the Sony bodies are correcting a lot of distortion in camera with either lens, which would be lost using the TZE-01.

Hello all,
I have a nikon z7 and I was wondering how well camera body aperture changes work with the voigtlander 110? It seems like IBIS works acceptably well. Does the lens EXIF get ported into lightroom?

I don't know how well camera body aperture change works because I always use the aperture ring on the lens. The IBIS works fine but keep in mind it doesn't help much for macro work. The EXIF does get ported to Lightroom.

Thanks for the reply. I know IBIS does not do much for macro. I figured IBIS and focus confirmation would make the lens more useful for portraits and landscapes. How does the lens perform on the Z7? I was lucky enough to use the V110's older brother the SL125 and loved it.

It performs wonderfully on the Z7. By the way I do find the focus confirmation useful on macro as well as portraits and landscapes.

Is anyone using the TZE-01 with the Sony GM 24mm f1.4? Any thoughts on how it’s working, anything to be aware of?

I dug through some of my old files for some examples of the Voigtlander 110 f/2.5 on the Z7. Here are a few.

Feishui: [... but the lens still won't focus at all.]
Check for some movement between the lens and the adapter. Some of these adapters had just enough play in them that the contact points don't match up. That's the way it is with mine. Just a slight turn of the lens and it won't focus at all. Turn it back and it focuses just fine.
It's really a nuisance and you'll often miss a shot because of the sloppiness of the adapter. Problem is Techart's customer service is non-existant.
