Well, I had a chance to try a Sigma 35mm f/2.0 DG DN C E-mount on a Z 6II using the TechArt TZE-01 with firmware update 4.1. I am happy to report that it works fine. AF is fast and accurate, and there is no noticeable distortion.
The only oddity is that it reports EXIF as a 50mm f/1.4G lens, even thought the focal length shows as 35mm!

Yes, this is the behavior with Z5 and mk II models. You will always get this generic lens in exif. Hopefully techart will update the firmware.

And while they are at it, let us know by the file name, date or a website notice, which version of the firmware is the latest, and what updates it includes, and please make the app display messages in other languages. I'm sorry, but I don't read Chinese.

Yes, I just tried my 5 E-mount lenses that I use with the TZE-01. On the Z7 they all reported the correct lens. On the Z 6II they all reported as a 50mm f/1.4G lens, but the EXIF focal length reported correctly.
Maybe they will fix it own the next update, but I haven't figured out how to know they have done an update without downloading whatever file is linked on their download page, and then running it. The version I have has V4.1 as the TZE-01 latest. The download page say that Ver 2.0 is now available for download, but I assume that is the updater app's version, not the adapter firmware version.
can't think of a reason to have a DX focused adapter when the mount is identical between FF and DX lenses.

hi guys ive got one of these and love it the problem ive got is i ordered another one off ebay which said techart TZE-1 and with a keen eye i noticed slightly different plastic was used for the mount and it looked slightly different
do you guys know if there is a difference
i had no problems with the EWOOP version this is the label on the back of the package

Hello all, I'm new on this site.
I have two TZE-01's one each on a Sony 70-300/4 G-OSS and a Sigma 45/2.8 DGDN which I've used happily for a couple of years on my Z7. I recently bought a Z5 as a back-up body, and neither of these lenses work in MF mode - both OK in AF modes but not manual focus - on the Z5.
I'm running the original firmware, because I can't get either dock to talk to any of my 3 Macs (!) I've tried a number of different high-quality cables, USB I, II and USB-C - and nothing will recognise the device. So, tempting as it may be to update to FW 4.2.0 which I've got sitting on my deslktop, I can't.
A couple of questions: Does anyone have a solution to getting the dock to connevt to a Mac? And does anyone know if my MF problem on the Z5 would be solved by the firmware update?

First get a pc much easier i had problems but when i updated to 4.2.0 my problems went away i was getting black out allsorts of things were not working as soon as i upgraded to 4.2.0 everything was ok

TZE-01 adapter does not work with manual lenses (with no electrical connections). I believe TZE-02 fixes that and the Megadap adapter is also fine.
You can find dumb adapter for this lens for 15-20$.

My tz 01 adapter works great with voightlander sony e lenses ive just ordered 5 of the tz 02 adapters becuase they allow the ibis to work correctly and i can be bothered changing adapters for each lens

The CV lens you have has electronic connections. Laowa lenses do not.
