A few photos taken this last week of birds in the garden. We are on lockdown hence the limited scope. All taken with the Z7 in dx mode and the recently aquired Sigma 100-400mm. I have the Nikon 300mm f4 pf but the IQ of the sigma at 400mm to me is better
Still loving how I can get all croppy with my new Z7. This was with the 50mm f/1.8G... big fan of the 50mm focal length and excited to try the Z version at some point.
I have a new found respect for those that excel at macro photography. Playing with a macro lens is so different than searching bird. Using a live subject, in breeze conditions is my excuse! !!!!
Z50 + 105mm 2.8G ED Micro + 2xTC
210mm, 1/1000, F10, ISO 640

Absolutely! I was chasing that damn bee for a half hour.
I think this is some sorta fly. It was about the size of a common mosquito. Chasing him will undoubtedly improve my birding skills.... I will say that the Z6 is easier to handle than the Z50 in this config, simply due to the crop magnification on the Z50.

I haven't been on the forum since last year!
I sold the Audi S3 in my avatar and got a new car, so once I shoot that, I'll post some pics. The new car is AMAZING!
Nothing spectacular here, but wanted to share some new images of my children from Easter Sunday.
The firmware updates have been appreciated, but we need another one yet.
When using EYE AF, I want the tracking to go from EYE LOCK to FACE LOCK to HEAD LOCK (when eyes and then face are not available)
Hope you are all keeping relatively sane, my friends.
Cheers,
Ryan
And a bunch from the Z7
I have always felt the 85S has the swirliest-artsy bokeh out of the S lineup
Could be simply b/c it's the longest FL, or by design, not sure.
I still lust for a 1.4 or 1.2 S prime, but this will do!
