Fun shot. How do you like the 50-250? I was thinking about getting one for casual tele use on my Z6. I rather like the 16-50 in a similar role.
It really was a "fun" shot. Thanks!
So far, I have nothing unfavorable to say about it. As kit lenses go, it's quite nice and it's super light.
For that walk, I had the Z50 & 50-250 on a neck strap & D500 w/ 500PF in hand. They complimented each other well. I have mounted the 50-250 to my Z6 & played around some in the house. After the latest firmware update to the Z6, it recognizes the lens as expected. Having said that, I haven't used it enough to make a fully informed assessment.
Appreciate the thoughts. Somewhat like you I have a 300/4 when I want better IQ. I tried the 70-300 AF-P and it's pretty strong but still reach for the 300 more. To that end, an even smaller, lighter option might make a better compliment.
Look forward to more work with your 500 PF. In a similar, not nearly as good vein, here's an angry pigeon with the 300/4 AF-S on the Z6.

Nothing great from a photo perspective but I couldn't believe how bright the full moon with the fresh snow was looking out into my back yard tonight. A little soft at full size but at F1.8 and just letting the camera sit on the window sill it wasn't too bad
Been awhile since I've posted anything...time to get off my ass and do some editing. Just a simple image from todays walk in Santa Monica. Z7 & 28mm f1.4 E
Still learning the nuances of the Z6, the contrast between the bright red cardinal and the stark winter environment (-8 degrees at the time), caught my eye.
