Agreed. Tried the 7A 28/1.4 as well, and it was similar stopped down a bit but didn't keep it. This one though I like even wide open.

A few simple shots of our loving little kittens. 50mm S @ f1.8. Love this lens. If you've ever tried taking pictures of a black cat, you know how hard it is to capture expressions and nuance. The Z is just amazing here. Use of natural light near windows help to provide some contrast. Personally, I find the smoothness in the DOF a highlight of this lens, along with the contrast.
