In fairness could be lens or adapter or just a mismatch. It’s very close so I don’t worry too much, but Astro stress test might be too much.
Yes the ZEISS 135mm APO is quite wonderful also, and we'll balanced on the Z's. No complaints from me.
I found the ZEISS 85mm Loxia is just sort of infinity when adapted with the Techart too the Z bodies. Are you using the Techart also for the CV 21MM F1.4?

Good stuff. Kinda looked like you were just pulling highlights ALL the way down, I’ve seen it create a similar look for the right scene. Regardless you’re executing it pretty well with a good exposure point. Thanks for the thoughts on the Otis as well.
Really like the CV 21. It renders a lot like the 40/1.2, and it’s fun shooting wide open landscapes, gives a different look and the CV holds up well too it. My only complaint is it seems it doesn’t reach infinity at f/1.4, close but not quite. By f/2 it’s fine, otherwise the 21/40 is a great pairing and hope they release the 75/1.5 to go with them.
Hey Mathieu, is the lack of infinity focus due to the adapter? What adapter are you using? I'm definitely interested in this lens but no infinity at F1.4 is a deal breaker for me.
I suspect so but valid question. Tried the lens briefly on an A7R but didn’t check infinity. Shipping the A7R out tomorrow but will verify. Hits the hard stop right at the mark, may also just need another degree of focus play. Will report back.
Edit: using the TZE-01 and highly recommend it. The MF aides with a chipped lens are great. Even if it’s a hair shot at 1.4 it’s good at 2 and I wouldnt give them up with a dumb adapter.

Thanks! Not much info about the new voigtlander ez adapter but you'd think they wouldn't release an adapter that failed infinity. If the issue is with the lens and it's ability to actually focus at infinity then I guess nothing would work. Seems like that would be a huge design flaw though.
Common PCX lens setup now working on both CG 21 & 28 with no vignetting.
Still hoping Techart will release an update that might get TZE to work with stacked TA-GA3.

Great shots, really like the bus and the skateboards. Glad you got it all squared away. If they get the TA-GA3 working I’ll have to think long and hard about them...

Probably just a slight tolerance issue. I think Voigtlander factory and fix if it is too long. I might be able too as well, fixed a 58/1.4 a while back but don’t want to tear this one up.
Another from the 21 the other morning.

Little experimental long exposure (28+min) with the Z7 & Zeiss Otus 55mm f1.4
I shot the scene at f2, 28min 24sec (+/-) exposure with two ND filters totaling 24 stops. I tried to ensure anything that cross the path would be gone with the extra long exposure and shallow DoF. Other than being It's a little soft I like it, I think I may have bumped the tripod or had some slight vibrations during the shoot. I'll try again with my trusted 35lb Gitzo Tripod. Hopefully that will eliminated the vibrations.
I set up the Z6 with the Nikon 28mm F1.4 E for a little time lapse of the scene during the long exposure. See the link below.
