I really wanted to like this lens, but for reasons I can't put my finger on, it just didn't click with me. I quite like the 50, and I tend to really like 28-35mm range, but the 35 1.8 s reminded me a bit of an extremely well corrected 35 1.8 G. The CA and flare control on this lens is amazing

The comparison to note is the Sigma 35 Art versus the 35/1.8S as per Nasim's review shows the 35/1.8S is clearly superior but with DxO the lenses are on par. I must admit I have given up on DxO reviews as I find they rarely mirror real life usage.
Have the tests by Nasim and DxO been performed at the same focusing distance?
Without this info, comparisons between tests are meaningless.
I also guess that Nasim and DxO use different methodologies, in that Nasim's tests should be sensor-dependent (he measures the overall performance of the lens+sensor combo).

Agreed. This is why I now do not pay so much attention to reviews by DxO as they are very specific whereas Nasim's tests are actual camera and lens combo's.
As I stated in this thread, i thought I had posted images on a 35 f1.8S thread and I had in this thread but I saw the other thread and just thought I must not have posted into the 35 f1.8S thread.

A few from the "Landschaftspark" in Duisburg, Germany.
From their website:
"The Landscape Park Duisburg Nord is the outstanding example of a new type of park shaped by industry. At the centre of an area of about 180 hectares, stands the decommissioned Thyssen ironworks in Duisburg-Meiderich. From 1901 to 1985 the works produced pig iron - as a rule as a primary product for further processing in Thyssen's steel works."
Only the last is on a tripod, the rest is handhold.

Chris,
Stunning shots. Beautiful light, texture, I get strong sense of the intricate space from these. Wonderful.

Thanks, it's a very photogenic place. I could stay there for hours.
It's very likely I will visit it again.
I posted a few daylight images in the Z-images thread as well.

I'm having three Z 1.8S primes (35,50, 85) with the kit f4 zoom, and this 35 stays on my Z6 85% of time. It makes the smallest full frame/fast lens combo.
I'm surprised that it's being sold for around $500 in BS board. It's the most underrated lens I ever knew. It's smaller, lighter, sharper than Sony/Zeiss 35mm 1.4 that I had when I was with Sony FE. Never tried new Sony 35/1.8 though.

@ Lance & Charles, thanks guys! I didn't realize that I had to do the lens correcting manually in LR. I'm so used to it automatically getting rid of the vignetting with my D750.
Though 50mm is my fav focal length, I'm actually liking this lens more & more! Here are some photos of my little peanut.
