Ryan, I do agree we need to look at be able to look at specific lenses and bodies but as we already see within the Nikon threads they are becoming very sparse. This weekend alone I post images but where do I post in D850, 105E, FX?
Sony images has the best imaging thread as it is only one thread but I would suggest the exiff needs to be intact. Everyone contributes as it is easy and fun. The moment it splits there are often only few people that continue to post. Usually there is an initial rush but it then becomes of lesser interest and the posting of images become very sparse and divided.
What I would like to see is where you could filter the lens or body the same as the B&S thread. There should be the ability to filter within the threads and this would maintain the momentum and interest.

Whole heartedly agree. Fractured, specific threads inevitably die a slow death. I think what makes the Sony thread so prolific is the catch all. We need a Nikon Z Images Thread. Any Z camera, no matter the lens. Who’s gonna start it?

Charles, if you want us to only use the one thread, we can ask Fred to delete this thread and others.
Thank Ryan, but not up to me I am only interested that the Nikon forums are well supported. For sure keep the threads and see how they perform.
As you mentioned the new lens threads seem to be well supported! The new longer lenses deservedly need their own threads as they are specialty lenses.
I love the image taking and presenting and so long the threads have momentum everyone benefits. The Sony thread is so successful for this reason as is Leica thread. Also the Nikon Manual focus thread has a large following too

I like the lens threads because you can look at the images taken with specific glass without having to dig through the general thread that has everything lumped together.
As for exif - it doesn't link automatically when I bbcode my images from flickr - but each photo I add has a link below that leads to flickr (full exif info + higher resolution images than linked here).

I like the individual threads for individual lenses and cameras as it seems to work ok and you can then look up specific lenses and cameras etc. Many a time I post some images on FM and then a year later I may look at those images in my portfolio and wonder if I had posted them on FM. If I had to wade through pages and pages of non specific, general Nikon photos, it would take me way too long. Much easier to look up a specific lens or camera thread and then see if I had already posted those images. Bring on more individual lens threads I say.

Such a sharp lens. I am a little torn. I have the wonderful Sigma Art, and it seems like a pretty big expenditure to get something more compact.

Guilty as charged.
Honestly, I have both the 24 and 35 Arts, and I use the 24 ten times more than the 35. For my uses, 35 is kind of a tweener FL. If the 24 S lens tests anywhere near as well as the 35, I will buy it without hesitation. 35 and 50 are not oft used focal lengths for me.
