New to me A1, 200-600. My son spotted this hawk on the way to school and told me to take a photo of it. Thankfully I had my camera in the car. Processed quickly on my iPhone Lightroom (hence a poor clone job to remove the branch above his head). I’m loving bird eye AF.

At the top of the Trexler Nature Preserve, Schnecksville, PA.
A few weeks ago a hybrid Red-naped x Red-breasted Sapsucker visited the "Sapsucker magnet" tree outside my kitchen window so I've set up a blind and have been watching the tree daily for more activity. A few days ago I saw a sapsucker in the tree and thought "cool! The hybrid is back, I can get a few more pictures" so I crept into the blind and click a few (no actual click, the camera is in silent mode) and then I actually look at the bird. It's not the hybrid Red-naped x Red-breasted Sapsucker, this one is a 100% Red-naped Sapsucker. Only a handful are observed each winter west of the Sierra Nevada.
