Awesome results from that combo! You may have just pushed me over the edge to grab an A9. The 1.4xTC that you used, is that a Canon one or the Sigma?

Thanks, Mike, I used Sigma 1.4TC for these shots.

I have some vignette with that combo on my a7III, but not the amount that you're getting.
I'll add that the shot looks far better at full size than it does at the posted size here.
Smugmug is crushing the colors.

Just a few from a recent outing. Sony A9 adapted to EF500/4IS II+1.4TC via MC-11.
Thanks for these terrific photos. You've helped me decide to get the A9 to use with my EF500 F4. Just have to get my finger to finally push the "buy" button.

Do you retain AF with the MC-11. I am guessing the Canon 1.4X version III. Read mixed reports on MC-11 vs Metabones with the TC.
Thanks
With the latest firmware updates for both MC-11 and Sony A9, this combo is quite good ( retains all A9 AF modules and sometimes better than 1DxII). I compared ( not scientific) canon 1.4TC III VS Sigma 1.4TC and concluded that Sigma 1.4TC is slightly better in AF response especially going from close to infinity focus. But I never used Metabones.
This one is with Sigma 1.4TC.
