With the latest firmware updates for both MC-11 and Sony A9, this combo is quite good ( retains all A9 AF modules and sometimes better than 1DxII). I compared ( not scientific) canon 1.4TC III VS Sigma 1.4TC and concluded that Sigma 1.4TC is slightly better in AF response especially going from close to infinity focus.
This one is with Sigma 1.4TC.
