@turbodude - excellent shots! And AF-C works really well on the Z6. Perhaps the DPR reviewers aren't the best action photographers and just don't know to really make the most of that camera.

Wow, a video of writing down things off of a spec sheet....amazing...could have scanned the three spec sheets in 1min vs watching that for almost a half hour....

I find Jared insufferable. I can't watch him. I know it's a persona but I don't know him personally so I can only judge his persona... Lol

I'd never seen him before. Doubt I'll go back for a second dose.

Don’t forget the sniff test and the wind tunnel test. What a clown.

Just an update on battery performance on the Z6. I used the Z6 and shot 723 photos at my daughter's birthday party yesterday. I had a EN-EL15a battery (not the 15b) and I still have 76% battery life remaining. The CIPA rating for the battery is silly, but I didn't know just how far off it was from real world use.

agreed, when shooting sports, i will get over 2000 shots on a single battery with more than 25% left. however thinigs drops a bit if you leave the camera on and dont shoot with it, and just have it on the ready. ive seen under 500 shots for a single battery over a 12hr shoot day of having the camera on.

I've had my Z6 for around 2.5 weeks, only have a couple hundred shots on it, but have done lots of menu diving and general looking around/testing. Still have 2 of 5 bars left on the initial full charge I did.

I used the Z6 as a remote during a college basketball game and had plenty of battery left. I think I was only down one bar for a two hour game.

I was wondering about that. How did you fire it? Is there a pocket wizard cable that works for the z?

I believe it's the D750 cable. N-MCDC2-ACC-1 Remote Camera Cable (1') for older pocketwizards. I really think they'll start becoming popular for remote cameras.

you think? what if you have to leave it up there for a day or two, i figured the battery would die. normally when i hang remotes for fights it has to go up in the lighting truss 3 days in advance.

Wonderful shots Rick! The 85/1.4G is truly an under rated lens

Thank you Charles! I like this lense but lots of ca when shooting against bright light source! I think I made the right choice with the z6! It compliment the D850 quite well! The D850 is still king in low light for af! I was surprise by the difference! The Z6 was hunting more and was slower but it was with the ftz adapter!

Has anyone tested the Tamron 45 VC lens with either the Z6 or Z7 bodies? Thanks for any inputs!

I've heard it does the same wonky thing it does with my g1 15-30. Where it will sometimes freak out with focus and open and close the aperture
