Anyway, AF-c focusing . . . I don't know how he was set up for the bike riding test, but if he was using dynamic and didn't adjust the delay away from default -- i.e., he didn't know how to use dynamic -- then the Z6 will change targets very quickly. Too quickly if you're sloppy with your aim. Being that I am one of the sloppy photographers for whom the adjustments are aimed, I know this from experience.

I know he is in Seattle, but that is still -- barely -- in the United States. You know, when in Rome, do as a Roman does, or risk being thought of as a pretentious a**.
They are actually in Calgary, AB, Canada....they still live in Calgary and send DPR their vids under their new job/contract.
again i dont understand... i have no problems with Dynamic AF in continuous focus mode. i use it exclusively. i dont ever use AF-S. and i have the 35S. Not sure what or why they cant get a decent image sequence.

The answer is easy: they're full of ship. They have an agenda.
Same reason they deliberately malign the pronunciation of the the "Zee," when Nikon made it clear how the moniker is pronounced. That's not sincere reporting, it's slanted reporting.
Again, this is the more honest review. Hell, the dude even admits his bias, yet gives credit where it's due.
The negative undertone of DPR is clear from beginning to end ...

Me, either. In fact, I think dynamic is the best thing to happen to me since I met the Finlander in the living room, the one with a great work ethic and low standards in men.

Come on guys, can we move past how to pronounce the name of the camera? We're better than that here.
Well, I doubt if I am, but I'll stop because have to shoot a high school hockey game. I don't really want to do it because 1) the glass is crappy there; 2) the lighting is a half-step above crappy; 3) shooting angles are crappy; 4) there's always a guy there who wants to talk to me about cameras and puts me in a crappy mood; 5) I'm a little hung over from last night's Christmas Party and feeling crappy. But, since I am dedicated to the craft and can't think of a reason to get out of doing it, I am sucking it up and heading out. Which means I cannot contribute further to our debate about "Canadians: Why won't they speak American the way God intended?"

I'll trade you. I'll be seated in a 15"x15" square spot on hardwood shooting two terrible college basketball teams (Unlv v byu) play each other while my legs and butt go numb
No thanx. Makes my knees ache just thinking about it.

First of all, my ears bleed every time some Canuk calls this camera the "Zed 6," when Nikon specifically calls it the "Zee 6," so the lack of respect in disregarding this fact shows bias from DP Review right off the bat.
I believe Jared's video to be much more candid and unbiased.
I shot a bunch of sequences tonight with the purpose of similulating the same focus action as dpreview with a basketball player running towards me. I'll post when I get home... Here is a frame until then.
its late, but ill upload a video of the image sequence of players running towards me tomorrow. here are some shots from tonight. z6 - 70-200, AF-C Dynamic AF, Continuous H+, low light AF on, d8 Live preview off.
