How do you blacklist a seller on GT?

My experience earlier this year with Cardinal was really bad. They took an order for something they did not have in stock, saying it would ship in 3 days, which it did not. They then said new confirmed stock was coming and it would ship in 6 days, which it did not. They kept saying it was coming..... 2 weeks later when they could not provide a shipping date I cancelled the order, and the owner called me so say my order didn't matter as he had 15 others for the same item!!! (Which they did not have in stock). They never issued a refund to my PayPal account and after a week and a couple of emails with no response I finally had Paypal get involved. After another week, Paypal in their email to me said " after numerous attempts to contact the seller with no response on Cardinals part, we are issuing you a 100% refund". So look at it this way, Cardinal had my $1,500 for 5 weeks free without having to pay any interest or deliver a product. And they were pulling the same BS with possibly 15 others.
It is definitely buyer beware with Cardinal! They are now blacklisted on my GT account.

I've always had great luck with them and many transactions. I deal directly with Kurt and he's been great to work with. I'll continue to buy there. I had one item that needed a refund and had it in only 2 days.
I also feel that this entire thread should probably go away because these types of threads don't help or solve anything. I hope Fred considers it.

I had great experiences with both the vendors mentioned.
The title is click-bait and considering power of Fred Miranda, it wouldn't be too long before search engines start showing this thread as one of the top results, unnecessarily besmirching both these companies.

There have been enough fellow reports here in the negative that asking to have the thread closed smacks of censorship to ensure that only a certain 'acceptable' story line is presented.

I don't have a dog in this fight because I never bought anything from GT or Cardinal and I never will. I prefer to pay full price and chose who I am buying from. But closing a thread that is two years old just because one of the users had a very bad experience and posted about it is just wrong.

I am not the type of person who goes onto photo forums and complains, 98% of my post are helpful or contribute in a positive manor. But Cardinal Camera was something else. Maybe this doesn't match your experience, but it was mine.
~Cardinal lied twice about when the item, supposedly "in stock or be here in a couple of days" would ship, when it was not in stock.
~When I cancelled the order after missing the shipping date the 2nd time, and 2-1/2 weeks after being told it would ship the first time, the owner Kurt Seelig, called me up, and told me my order didn't matter as he had 15 others.
~Cardinal refused to issue a refund to my PayPal account in a timely manor and never bothered to respond to PayPal about the credit. It took an additional 2 weeks to get a refund.
This IS very poor customer service and people need to be aware of it. I have used GT 3 times and the 2 other sellers were great, no issues, they shipped when they said they would and notified me about the shipment.

I just purchased a Fuji camera from Cardinal through Amazon. They were offering it at $100 lower price than the going rate. I contacted them via Amazon email and asked if it was gray market or US version. They responded quickly saying that it was US version. I ordered and they shipped right away. The camera arrived yesterday and there is no issue.
I do understand completely about bad camera outfits though, as my husband got ripped off by 42nd Street several years ago.

I AGREE, STAY AWAY FROM CARDINAL CAMERA!
I used to buy directly from the owner and even tried Greentoe with them. They are horrible to deal with after the sale. Too many emotional dramas for me. It took all the fun out of shopping for gear, so I eventually erased all contact information from my database, including the owner's direct cell number.

I stumbled on this thread. I bought my A7riii through Green toe / Cardinal Camera about 6 months ago. Shipping was slow about 5-7 business days but I have no complaints. Maybe I got lucky

It isn't click bait because there is truth within. Multiple people with similar experiences with Cardinal, including people with plenty of experience participating in these forums. Why white knight for a company that multiple people here have had poor experiences dealing with? Would you honestly buy from a company that counts their 30 day refund policy from when you order rather than when you actually receive the order? Because this company has a history of selling items they don't have, taking forever to order it themselves, don't update their customers on the delay, and then won't allow you to refund because they count from the day of order. I know this from personally speaking to the owner.

Since we are warning FM members, stay away from Tristate Camera as well.
I purchased a lens from them and received the wrong one. Returned it and have not received a refund in more than 15 days since they got it back. (Have the tracking number)
Tried contacting them and there was no response. Started a Paypal case...

Click baits do have truth within - its just exaggerated beyond recognition.
In this thread itself majority of people including people with plenty of experience participating in these forums have had no problems.
I spoke from my experience and it stands. There is no white knighting either. I don't gain anything from this nor do I have any association with either companies.
Yes, the policy of 30 days warranty starting from day of the order is strange and buyers should read it before ordering - that still doesn't justify the title of this thread.

Except there is nothing exaggerated whatsoever. If even three members of a small forum like this has had issues, that should be a major red flag to people. This isn't a one off.
And no, people cannot "read it before ordering" because the policy exists nowhere, it breaks the clearly stated policy on greentoe, and only existed in the owner's head because he didn't want to take a return. We are not talking about any stated policy, just the behavior of a crooked businessman.
First, the owner told an employee that I couldn't return it and offered no reason. Then he refuses to take the call until I threatened a chargeback. Then he told me that I couldn't return an item clearly within the 30 days of receiving it, because the 30 day return period actually starts when I placed the order for the item. Keep in mind that he accepted the sale but didn't have in stock at the time. Then, he called me an idiot for not knowing this truth and hung up on me. I had to go through greentoe to get the obvious refund. And this was after employees repeatedly promised(but not once followed through with) to update me on the shipping of the item, which kept getting delayed. Not to mention sticking me with an extra forty dollar shipping fee to speed along the lens to ke after waiting for two weeks for them to even get the item that they were supposed to have in the first place.

So you bought the item via Greentoe and tried to return it directly to Cardinal, who accepts returns only within 15 days so they snubbed you, then you went back to Greentoe - which you should have done in the first place?
GT clearly says contact them first for any returns.
GT's return of 30 days doesn't match with Cardinal's which only has 15 day return policy (yeah I stand corrected, I thought it was 30) - but since it was GT the middleman they provide 30 day return regardless of vendor's policy.
Nowhere does GT mention you contact the end vendor for anything.

No. Not at all. Stating Greentoe's 30 day policy, Cardinal tried to do a run around by claiming that their 30 day policy started the day you ordered rather than the day you received it. It was a way for them to try to avoid doing it. I stated clearly in my writeups here what the problem was. At no point did I EVER say that this had to do with Cardinal's 15 day policy vs Greentoe. What I said was that Cardinal's skeezy owner tried to get out of a legit return by claiming that the reason I was not within the 30 days was because the 30 days starts when you order the item rather than when it was received. The fact that I repeated this multiple times throughout this thread and then you went and changed it to be about cardinal's 15 day vs greentoe's 30 days makes it abundantly clear that you either have an agenda or are trying to be some sort of devil's advocate type. You can't take someone's story and then twist it around to be about something else.
And I had contacted Greentoe, who told me to approach Cardinal for the refund. Don't make things up please. I am the one that actually had this happen.

Oh boy.
You aren't even the OP who posted this click-bait (yes, it is) or that's your alt account? My original reply was to OP but you seem to have gotten your panties twisted in a jiffy.
You don't seem to take into account positive experiences of multitude of people. Sure you had a bad experience, okay vent it somewhere but don't undermine what others experienced.
Was it the fact that owner called you an idiot that put you on burner or that I called the OP as click-bait? I can't decide. Regardless, my response was not directed towards anyone specific, especially not you, until you started it. Why should I read you prior posts when I have nothing to do with your apparent story? The whole point of my reply was to post responsibly on these forums. It appears that you haven't read it properly or worse read it, but weren't able to comprehend.
Besides, I have an agenda? I don't think you even read what you type for you sure seem to have an agenda. Go pound the sand, respectfully. Good luck.
And while you do that, I need to start a thread about not buying stuff from Amazon AT ALL because one order went wrong.

To be fair you did reply directly to @shadow9d9. No dog whatsoever in this "fight" but if you quote someone in your post, it's fair for them to assume you are replying directly to them....
