This lens is not an IF lens, so I'm pretty sure it won't feel small or light when you start shooting anything closer than infinity.
I didn't mean light but maybe not feel like 26.91 but handle more like a 90 macro or 16-35 GM but who knows Fred will have to let us know until ours arrive I have my fingers crossed for this weekend but probably next week some time.
I like the images Fred has shared and really looking forward to his portrait and at infinity samples.

It's true that it extends quite a bit for 1:1 tripod macro work. However, when shooting landscapes or portraits, the barrel barely extends. At 1m, it's only about 10mm longer compared to infinity, so the weight distribution does not change much unless shooting macro when it does get a bit front-heavy.
As a curiosity, when both lenses are at 1:2 macro, the 110/2.5 is shorter than the CV 65/2.

Appreciate the comments and sample pics, Fred!
Can't wait to get mine, next week.
This is probably the first lens I have really wanted for a long time - even before it was announced and only existed in my head as an updated 125 Macro.

I will start a new Rolling Review thread tomorrow with all my tests but here is a little preview.
At infinity CV 110 @f/2.5 versus Batis 135 @f/2.8 (So both lenses wide open)
Here is almost dead-center. (Mid field and extreme corners will be posted for all apertures tomorrow)
It sure beats the mighty ZE/ZF 135/2 APO at infinity distance.
Remember, this is f/2.5 vs f/2.8. Also my shutter speed was very slow and it was raining...No worries, I had a very sturdy tripod and there was no wind. :)

Fred just needs to show some wide open and f/4 corners first for me to bite on this lens.
Center looks fantastic at f/2.5.
Hopefully the weather down South is cooperating for him.

I did an infinity test yesterday but it was raining and my shutter speed was very low, especially when stopping down the lenses.
So, my f/8 crops didn't look optimal and I decided to re-test this on Friday when the sun will hopefully be back here.
However, just as sample here is the CV 110/2.5 @f/2.8 at the extreme corners (1/30s). Mid-field looks great as well with no resolution dip. Just like the 65/2 APO, this lens is flat field.
Fantastic performance and on par with CV 65/2 and Batis 135/2.8.
Some lenses would envy this performance even at center!
