The 20/3.5 Color-Skopar for Canon/Nikon DSLRs wasn't that good. I hope the Color-Skopar 21/3.5 FE is a new design with much improved quality in the periphery of the image.
Hopefully the new App-Lanhar 110/2.5 has improved mechanics over the old 125/2.5, which employed some to weak plastic parts and screws too susceptible to tear and wear on the inside. Optically I would take the CV 125/2.5 over the Leica 100/2.8 Apo or Zeiss 100/2 MP any day.

That 110mm looks like a perfect replacement for my Olympus 100mm f/2.8. Hope they release an M-Mount version too, but if they don't, I'll get the E-mount. Lovely.

There was an Olympus OM 90/2 and 4/3 50/2 and m43 60/2.8. Never heard about any Olympus 100/2.8.

I think he means Olympus OM 100 f/2.8 which is a non-macro lens.

Outside the new Sony body this is the most interesting news yet. To me the Sigmas are a epic failure. The one other thing that looks interesting is the Tokina 28-75 2.8. These two lenses here are really putting the Voightlander glass in high gear with the 40,65 along with these would be a amazing kit. Very curious about the 21 here. Seriously this 110 is going to be on the same level as the 65 or better . One thing I would love to test is the Batis 135 vs this 110. I’m not going for the 110 as I really need AF abilities in this range but damn this sounds really nice. Zeiss needs to get more lenses out the door.

Agree. I think you meant the Tamron 28-75. Tokina only rehashed their 20mm lens with AF.

Yes you are correct I’m getting those T names confused. Also the new Firin AF 20 looks nice I had the MF version and it’s quite good. So that’s another interesting release.
Hell we are starting to get so many choices now. It still amazes me the middle zone like 25-50 is not getting much action and I’m stumped as to why it isn’t.

The 20-21mm is a tough space to compete in. The Loxia 21 is an incredible lens and will be tough to beat.
dont expect it to beat loxia, however if it gets close, I may be in. Like the ultra small size, and hopefully it'll be around 200g, half the size and more importantly weight compared to loxia.

I almost went for CV 40+65, and still may one day. But the 110 looks irresistible to me. As soon as I see pics from capable hands, like Guy's, I'll decide. Guy saying that he isn't getting one is just his trying to discourage others from joining the line and getting theirs ahead of him. Nice ploy, Guy, but no cigar!
