That's a long story..............but here's the short version. Several of my wife's friends do embroidery, for a wedding present she asked for any embroidered work to commemorate our wedding day. SOoooo, no matter which room in the house I go and Yes that includes My bathroom, there hangs an piece of art with our wedding date!!
I DARE not forget!!.........Number sixteen and counting.
Well.. I will be in Alaska till the second week in June (with my new 80-400 OS) And then the third week i will be shooting promo shots for a concert series @n six flags (Atlanta Fest), so dont do anything too fun without me.... looking forward to meeting again soon
I've had a schedule change.........so I'm free Sunday the 29th.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Anyone up for a Holiday shoot?
I know there are several folks with new lenses, myself included. I use the zoo as my testing ground(baseline) for new equipment. Anyone want to try a little sport shooting?
I'd like to join you for a half day. I'm running a 10K on Memorial Day. My racing season ends with the June 5th 8K and I'm fine for anything after that. Try to pick out someplace that is cool, uncrowded and offers good photo opportunities. That should be real easy to do on Memorial Day weekend.
Wish I could join you, but I am shooting sports this weekend. Dog agility in Gainesville and running my dog a couple of times on Monday. You all have fun. I'll be working.
I'll tell you what, guys. There is a lake with eight Canada Geese right behind my property. It's private, so we would have it all to ourselves and there is even a stone bench to sit on. The geese actually come to you. And,as a further treat, I will serve you mik and cookies afterward.
Milk and cookies..........how could anyone say no to that.
How's the new 70-200 working out for you? At the rate of new lens acquisitions you are acquiring I'd say by the end of the year you may have the whole Canon line.
I took some shots with it at the duck pond the day after it arrived and posted five of them on the Nature and Wildlife forum under "Got a New Lens". The second was intentionally overexposed. And yes, the whole idea of lens collecting is to acquire as many as possible. It's like stamp collecting. They are worth more mint, so I try not to use them. Canon said the 1200mm f/5.6 is a special order so I may not get it by the end of the year.
Back to reality- John, and any others who would like to join us, how does that sound? There are also three beaver holes around the lake, but the beavers are very elusive.
Time to talk about next gathering (not in particular order):
Choice #1: trip to Atlanta Zoo
Choice #2: trip to Callaway with macro trip to Butterfly exhibit; gen'l photos throughout
Choice #3: trip to Equestrian show to shoot horses jumping over fences, dressage etc.
Choice #4:
