Hi guys. The air show sounds like a lot of fun!
Grant...looks like the robins had quite a feast at your house!
Todd...These bird shots look amazing! Great work!
I'd like to meet you all again at the Tour de Georgia.
It was a great experience for me, and as I improve my equipment and knowledge over the last year, it will be great to test what I learned.
Todd, Your orchid shot is superb.
Grant, Robin's don't always have food in their mouths.
Aaron, Nice shot of Lance.
Tour de Georgia:
Where did you meet up last year? I was there for Stage 5 and on the finishing circuit for Stage 6. Stage 6, with it's multiple passes, gave me a lot more opportunities to photograph the race. Stage 5 gave me about 3-5 minutes of shooting time after taking all day to drive to and from the mountains.
Cool shot, looks like he just caught you out of the corner of his eye. We set up pretty close to finish in Alpharetta, we were in front of the Honda building. We met a really nice guy who brought a ladder out for us to stand on, I'm going to contact him and see if we can set up there again this year unless anybody else has a better idea?
I went up to Brasstown too, a lot of waiting for a little bit of shooting, if you get close to the top the riders are going pretty slow and they were in small groups or by themselves, I think it's a great place to get indvidual shots.
I plan on going to Brasstown again this year, hopefully it won't be snowing! Anybody who's interested just let me know and we can carpool there Sat am.
Funny you should mention snowing. We were up there for a jeep ride last year and it snowed. A little while later these guys in funny outfits started coming by on bikes. I think it was a week or 2 before the tour and they were out practicing the course.
I know they were warmed by the exercise but it was REALLY cold that day...
I'm going to need a calendar to keep up with all this.
Tour de Georgia - 4/18-23
Airshow - 4/29-30
I still want to take a day trip up to Tallulah Gorge soon(late March or early April). And I am thinking about a Stone Mountain outing. I just need a clear day for this one.
I heard on the radio this morning that there was going to be a Chattanooga leg this year. Checked out the website and there it was. This will be individual time trials and will occur about 15 minutes from my house. Going to have to start scouting a good shooting area...

Got a few shots at the International Horse Park Saturday. Mid day light so the lighting is poor but this was the Spring Classic Jumping Horse event and it will be going on this weekend also. Flashpoint has exclusive photography rights but I met and talked to one of their photographers and there was no problems with me photographing as long as there is no intent to sell your photographs.
