Aww...you guys know I was just kiddin'
Everybody got some great shots!
Greg...your owl in flight shot is awesome! Glad those new, err, tools, are working out for you!
I agree with John that it is such a great kearning experience to be around you guys!
BTW...I really don't have FEC controls on my camera body...weird, huh?
We were at Calloway 2 weekends ago for a strategic planning session. Really wanted to sneak off and take pics but the pressure was on to play golf with the rest of the team. So, I didn't even get the camera out of the bag but at least I got to play some really lousy golf (my fault, I stink) on a really nice course...
Great photos everyone....Greg, looks like you've got the hang of the new equipment!
Hope you all have a great time this weekend. Look forward to seeing the photos.
I'd like to make a suggestion. It would be great if when posting photos you all could post the exposure parameters and any other pertinent info so that we could all learn and perhaps make suggestions for improvements. Alternatively, it would be helpful if you could preserve the EXIF info so that programs like View EXIF could see it.
I'm cleaning the lenses, charging the batteries and packing my bags...........can you say Road Trip ! Not that I'm excited (not)........just getting ready for a super weekend. We've come to have quite a group here in Atlanta, I want to convey my thanks to all that have been a part of the many outings. So many people have made this a success and the future can only be better.
Thanks for the kind words, guys...Encouragement certainly makes the road a little easier, doesn't it?
And, Todd....excellent suggestion. In *my* case, (since I don't pull images from a web site), I would have to post the exposure info *before* the image, rather than *after* it.... Hope that wouldn't be too visually distracting. At any rate, I would be in favor of *anything* that would encourage comments and enhance learning.
And....you've posted some beautiful landscapes, Todd. And, the composition of the bird image is quite nice, as well.
I came across this thread by chance as i am looking for some camera stores in Atlanta and thought that as this thread was about shooters in Atlanta then why not ask you folks..
so my brother will go to atlanta next week and i would really like him to pick me up Gretag Macbeth eye-one Display 2 there..
I did a search on the internet and found 2 stores but they did not have the Gretag Display 2 when i searched..
1 site was wolf camera and cant remember the second -
Does anyone in Atlanta know please where he can get me the gretag eye-one monitor calibration from ??
Wow...a lot of people are gone so its gotten quiet on here!!! I wish I would have been able to go to the Smokies with that group...and my parents!!! Would have been nice to get away for the weekend and enjoy the beauty of nature! Unfortunately I have the awesome opportunity to....work! Not my favorite thing to do on the weekends! Anyways...what has everyone been up to lately...any new and exciting photography experiences? I assisted another wedding 2 weekends ago and got more involved with shooting for this one! The photographer I work for decided she wanted me shooting in between her shots to get the same poses but different angles...worked out great! I was proud of what I came up with...and also during the wedding. It was at the Carl House and the wedding didn't start until 7:00...so it was getting dark when it started and dark by the time the ceremony actually began. It was a challenge shooting in the dark, but I succeeded!! I'm proud of myself for overcoming that little bump in the road! So yeah, I thought I'd share that since its pretty dead right now...we gotta keep this going while the others are away!!!
