I like to say, I for one am happy to see a little diversity in our up coming outing. I think it's just great that you are taking the "lead".......it's good to have a fresh outlook on different types of shoots. The Atlanta members are so much more than your average photographers, I think you'll be impressed.
It seems as if you are off to a great start with arranging this outing. I'm looking forward to being a participant and if I can be of help don't hesitate to ask.
I might also be interested. I'm very close to Stone Mountain if that location works out. Not sure if I will be in town on the 12th of November but will follow this post a while to see when a final date is set.

Chris, I'm a bit uneasy with your suggestion to overbook models. Isn't their time valuable to them? If all invited show up, do you intend to pay all of them, even though just one may be necessary?
Bob, this would be TFCD shoots. The reason you over book is the same reasons airlines do it. If you get 10 confirmed models, rest assured 3 or 3 will have an engine blow, got hit by a drunk driver, mom got sick in Germany, etc. 2 out of these three have happend to me. Its just a given.
The models will also get quality work here, so TFCDs will be fine.
Time for CD, the digital version of Time for Print.
Basically the model gets a copy of the photographers work on CD, their contract with each other apply. In this case it may be a blanket agreement for the whole event.
I'd also be interested in tagging along and learning about the process if that's possible. I've not done any model shoots, and the whole lighting thing is something I've not explored.
No 3 - After seeing Todds shot of these the other day I was hoping they would still be there and they were. Not very close and this is cropped a good bit but these are interesting looking ducks.
E L Huie will be a MESS this weekend.......Nascar is in town, can you say traffic!! There is another wetlands area similar to Huie........Merry Brothers Brickyard Ponds. It's located in Richmond County out I-20 East, a longer trip.
Just got in from testing a lens.........so off to peep at the pixels.
Cheers
Gary
PS..........Grant, I believe that is a Killdeer in the last shot.
