OK.........I have a new lens to test, so I'm off to Zoo Atlanta(my testing ground) on Sunday to give her a workout. I'll be there when the gates open at 9:30. I hope a few folks I haven't met are able to make the outing.

What lens have you got now? I think I might be able to change some times around to make it to the Zoo also. Would have to leave about noon or soon after though. Also, I believe a friend of mine is going to have a 51 Ford in the Starlight Drive in Car Show so I may try to get there at 1:00 on Saturday.

Thanks Grant. Are you guys just going to meet at the gate at about 9:30 (in other words, how will I find you?)...Oh yeah...the guys with tripods, monopods, backpacks and camera stuff...guess that should be easy to spot!
BTW...just got the D2X today! I shot about 200 pics today, but can't wait to try it out on something good!!!

Guys the gates open at 9:30 and my guess is by 12:30 it will be a ZOO, lots of people. I'll be there around 9:15, it looks as if we might have a good turn out and so far the weather doesn't look to be an issue. Also I can admitt one guest with my membership for those that aren't members.
Well, had a car accident on the way to the zoo today and missed the shoot. Lady on a cellphone ran right through the traffic light. Luckily no one was hurt seriously, but I think my car is probably totalled.
John, sorry to hear about the accident but glad that you are OK. Six of us were there.
If the rest of you were wondering where I disappeared to, my camera stopped working. Finally figured out while having a grilled chicken sandwich at the on premises McDonald's that while changing the ISO I inadvertantly put the timer on. Got some shots of the tamarinds and kangaroos and then had to leave. Looking forward to everyone's postings.
