Looks great after f/5.6 at infinity Guy. Hoping it has great coma controlt.
However, flare performance is still a question mark...I can see contrast loss and flare on your last shots.
My two areas that I see some concern . One is flare and Im going to have to play with that more. The other is the sunstars.
The last shots where right into the sun. Are those what you are talking about. The horses the light is on my left coming up at about 15 degrees I would say

BTW friendly reminder this is a F2 lens. ROTFLMAO
Some more test to shoot and looking at todays take my list is Sunstars at F16 and hope to get more direct sunlight than this dispersed light as the dispersed light does cause more havoc with flare at least from my experience.
Overall a good showing I think. Let me know if you want the last Raws from infinity on. I will load them up. Please again get involved process the raws and let us know what you think. This thread is here its not going anywhere else.
Fred thanks for letting me burn up your servers.
Im sure the question Is Loxia or Firin. The Loxia is there best lens yet. No question its a awesome lens. I loved it for the IQ . This is very good and a great lens if you want to save some money and not miss out too much. Loxia does have better Sunstars and better flare control. This is sharper at F2, la la la. Oh caught you napping on that one Loxia is a 2.8. For the pixel peepers Im leaning Firin but thats a head to head test which I don't have . Im not here to sell either its your money spend wisely. I can say this , I have been around a LOT of lenses and this is very very nice. Im keeping it. Im glad Joshua picked one up as maybe he can help here as well.

Another factor that swayed me to go with the Firin, in sddition to the ones I mentioned previously, that it is designed for Sony mirrorless system and not for DSLRs where the manufacturers just "slapped" a tube to make it work for the mirrorless system ala Samyang/Rokinon. I am of course oversimplifying right now.

Well I tried . Im not exactly in perfect focus. I have camera on my 6ft wall on a table top tripod. I can try it again but you folks download the RAW/ Look at EXIF here
