Alright, I broke down and ordered mine from B&H. I really like a MF lens for shooting at night, be it for astro or anything else, if the lighting conditions are too low. The speed of f/2.0 and the native FE mount with exif transmission wins me over.
Thank you for testing the lens for us, Guy!
You already sold off your Sigma, didn't you Joshua? Perhaps you can give us your impressions between the two when you get a chance?

I saw some out to the edges. Not a lot though. Is that pretty typical. Like I said earlier I do very little of this type of shooting. Myself I would just airbrush it out but that's me.

Maybe I'll try F2 to F4 and just see what I get. I'll get the ladder out so I can focus. I'm just short little Italian guy you know. Lol
BTW love my mini table top and BH 25 head combo. Very strong
Off topic my L bracket is weird the bottom plate is wider than the side plate and my lever lock on my BH25 won't squeeze down on the side bracket. Is there a way to adjust the tension on a BH 25

One big thing I have noticed is the distortion both vertical and horizontal is very minimal . Even hard to see. Might be a very good architecture lens for those interested in that type of work. I honestly don't think I need a lens profile.

I put a extra plate on than pre focused for my stars tonight. Infinity on this lens is right smack in the middle of the infinity mark. Not the hard stop. So visually when shooting in the dark let's say you can just put it there and go. If not at the hard stop than this is good because you don't have to guess if you can't focus. Which was my problem last night is I could not get to the camera to see easily. So that's a minus and a plus. I know many like the hard stop

A working hard stop is nice, but I still wouldn't personally trust an hard stop without at least a test exposure to check focus. Maybe that's just me!
There's some coma, but it really doesn't look that bad to me. I'll be more curious how it is at f/2, but I'd have no issues with coma performance if they was f/2. Curious how much worse f/2 is.
