I know all about there retail as well. They use the two only. My Choppy 1 came from Amazon through cameraquest as requested. Never had a issue with Amazon and their here almost daily. This is not a general type product like buying a Sony lens where they use retail shops from many sources. On this product it's either these two and Amazon has been very specific on which one been watching this for almost a year now. Amazon gives buyers a chance to buy gift cards from different CC so someone can divert their payment over several

Yes, they are the only 2 distributors. B&H and Amazon get their supply from those 2 distributors. I believe B&H is directly across the street from Photo Village.

Thanks Guy. I never had a bad experience with Amazon and B&H either. To one I had return a DOA disk drive, to the other a tripod I didn't order. In both cases exchange was problem free.
BTW, Choppy 1 is doing great with the TechArt Pro adapter on my A7r.2. The only feature I don't get from the E-mount version you have with Choppy 2 is entry of the actually used f-number into Exif. But I feel that's a good trade off for me having AF instead.
For the 10/5.6 I went with the E-mount version from Stephen at Cameraquest. He had given me a $50 voucher when I returned a bad FE 15/4.5 III. I used that voucher for buying the 10/5.6.
I am very happy how this turned out in the end and use both lenses a lot. The 10/5.6 sure comes in handy for those occasions where even the 15/4.5 isn't wide enough. Having 42 MP of the A7r.2 available for some cropping I don't feel the need anymore to also get the 12mm version.

I just rechecked my shipping notification from Amazon and Order Details says that it was sold by CameraQuest. So far, so good (as the fellow who jumped from the Empire State building was heard to say as he passed the fortieth floor.)

For anyone thinking of ordering from CameraQuest via Amazon, you should be aware that the featured vendor is not always CameraQuest. To get it from CameraQuest, I had to look for them under "Other Vendors" in the lower right of the page. Oddly, this morning when I went to the page to prepare this message, the featured vendor was CameraQuest and Photo Village was listed in Other Vendors.

I think it depends on your location. Photo village handles the a East coast and Camerquest handles West coast. I think they do that for shipping reasons. So yes you have to look at other vendors if you want a specific one. On this lens I have not seen it anywhere on Amazon but photo village and Camerquest.. Of course you can go outside Amazon and buy direct from them and of course retailers like B&H and Adorama. One advantage of Amazon outside splitting your gift cards up between Credit cards is they have a 30 day return which works really well and very fast. I noticed one thing if you buy a product out of there warehouse directly. Than on return as soon as you bring it too A UPS store and they scan it you get your money even before they receive it.. That's pretty cool. Once in UPS hands it's considered returned but only from Amazons warehouse stock and new item. This may also be why it is being returned as well , like changed my mind. It's happened a few times for me

Does anyone know where the serial numbers start for the 2nd batch ? I've decided to get the V 15mm and Loxia 21mm instead of the 16-35.
The Loxia isn't a problem but E-mount V 15mm may be (here in Shanghai). Are there any pros/cons to using the M version (easily found here) with the Voigt close-focus adapter instead of the E-mount version ?
Anyone ?

After cancelling my initial order many months ago because of the concerns expressed here, I received my second order 15 from B&H 9/2. I spent the morning shooting inside and out in Hot Springs National Park. After examining the shots in LR, I'm happy. Very good sharpness across the frame. I'm especially impressed with the minimal CA. My serial # is 0864xxx.

And your copy has good corners?
Sorry - I now see that you reported a few pages back with images that showed the corners are as good as they get with this lens (looks like my VM version corners, which are pretty good).

Yes I think mine has good edges and corners. You can also look at my last post in the FE image thread they were shots with the 15 Voigtlander.

Bought my A7rii today (and the Zeiss 21) but not a single outlet in the massive camera mall in Shanghai carries the Voigtlander.
I was very disappointed and will have to buy it online now, adding to my concern (since China is nothing like the USA - you can't just return it because you don't fancy it for some reason). This might be of interest to anyone thinking of picking it up here.
I did however pick up an 'as new' Voigt close-focus M-E adapter for just $200 so not a totally fruitless visit.

Grabbed one from Amazon (CameraQuest) last night. Will give it a comparison to my very very good performing VM version this coming weekend.
