Spent Saturday in the rain with the new Voigtlander 15mm on my A7R. After two bad copies and waiting for both batch 1 and 2 it seemed it was a never ending quest. Glad to finally get copy three into the field. So Saturday was out in the rain with it.
Then went out this morning and waded out in a river with the same combo.
Both times I found that the 15mm was what I was looking for in a shot as the Loxia 21 was not wide enough. Images look great with excellent detail into the corners.
Looks great at f/5.6 to f/11 for landscapes, has great color and good sunstars.
So very glad I rolled the dice on copy three. Truly a great lens, one I really had looked forward to and worth having.

A week ago I was almost ready to give up but then copy three arrived from B&H and it's great. Made all the uncertainty and angst over trying to get a good copy better.
Hope it's a winner for you!

Here are some quick shots I took out of my office window handheld. I know this is not the most ideal not being on tripod. I did apply the lens profile correction in LR (do you all normally do this when evaluating a lens?) and exported shots at f4.5, f5.6, and f8. I will also post 100% corners at each.

I've cross-posted this on the Leica images thread and I'm placing here as I don't know where else to post so if this is inappropriate, I apologize in advance.
But, the Voigtlander Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm f/5.6 Aspherical Lens for M-mount is finally available for Preorder at B&H.

Has anybody compared this latest 15mm Voigtlander to the M-mount Distagon? There were some nice samples earlier in the thread of the SLR version of the Zeiss 15mm/2.8, but based on MTFs, the ZM version appears to be higher resolving. The ZM is also in M-mount, which places it more directly as a competitor with the Voigtlander 15mm/4.5 III. Obviously there are differences in size, price, and aperture, but I'm wondering just about sharpness and resolution at infinity.

I've decided to try my luck, and ordered one today. The seller in Japan seems to have a good rating and covers return shipping if a lens is defective.
Normally I'd order from B&H, it'd be cheaper too. But they won't ship it overseas it seems, due to "manufacturer restrictions" Or at least they won't to New Zealand or Australia.
This is a long shot, but does anyone know if the Breakthrough.Photography 58mm ND filter will fit?

If you're using it on an M body or a Kolari modded sensor, the ZM 15mm f/2.8 is incredible. But it has problems with smearing a stock Sony sensor stack.

Did you check with the seller if this is from the second run of lenses? It seems the first run had a lot of bad lenses and the second run seems to be significantly better.
