Can't remember if I posted this one before. Large white trillium in SW Michigan last April. Loxia 21, close to MFD. I love the 3D here - the main flower looks ready to pop out of the screen.

A couple more, previously posted on the big Sony thread. An evening hike at Potato Creek State Park, Indiana. First with Lox 35, second with 21.

Amazing Danny. Is that my Loxia 35? I remember selling a great copy of this lens on the B&S board a while back.
A little while ago I commented (on another thread) that I was enjoying your Lox 35, but thanks to a weird circumstance, it's no longer the very same one that I got from you.
Last spring, your copy started making prominent white flashes on my A7RII when I rotated the aperture ring. I sent it to Zeiss; the techs hadn't seen anything like it before, but sent a (refurb) replacement. It did the same thing. They had me test whether it did the same on video, which it did. I tried it on another A7RII - did the same thing. Oddly, I tried it on two A7R bodies and there was no problem at all. All with latest firmware installed.
Zeiss mulled it over awhile and hadn't seen anything like it, and sent another replacement a few weeks ago, this time a brand new one. Problem solved. There must have been something with the older copies of the lens that the A7RII bodies didn't like, and now resolved with the newest lens. I hadn't used it much before spring - I suppose it's possible that I didn't see the flashing until then, but I don't know how I could have missed it - it was *very* prominent.
Anyone else here have a similar issue with their Lox 35 on an A7RII?

Yes! I've never seen this on any Loxia 35/2 the same issue has happened on previous copies of my Loxia 21 and 50. Both times, Zeiss replaced them for brand new copies. It seems to happen frequently with Loxia lenses (there was a dedicated thread on this subject here).
Basically the aperture ring reports the wrong info to the camera and in consequence we see an annoying changes in exposure as you move it to f/2.2 and becomes f/22 as an example.
