Okay you have to be in Manual focus mode to make the changes by default it is set to MF only so start there get to infinity than turn another 360 degrees. Its funny it did not say be in MF mode in the instructions. So take note of this. First off the lens is very lightweight and to me at least pretty small. I come from 85 1.4 so take that with a grain of salt. I have the vertical grip on at its a perfect balance. It looks very sharp , focuses fairly quick in all AF modes with Phase on and off. I just shot a bunch of quickies and it seemed to keep up nicely even focus tracking. Okay lunch than I will upload. This thing is going to scream with the new A7RII

I don't have my tripod with me but I did try and handhold one perfectly level which I pretty much can do at will . But I was looking for distortion. I see a little but a tough image to tell to. I did draw in red line to see if we can pick it up. Now is the curb straight , am I dead on. Question marks but looks pretty good. Obviously I need to do this for real.

Popflash...and I didn't preorder right when it started either, so I wasn't sure I'd make the first batch. I was surprisingly high on the list though, so it got my hopes up that I would.
I think I've gotten all my Zeiss lenses from them.

I have some more images to post in morning. I did want to mention manual focus fly by wire here. It's not really bad at all focusing at 100 percent to your eye. Something you have to get used too but it is accurate. When I sell my A7ii when the A7rII comes I'll use that money for the 25. After this gig the A7II will hit the market. Weird thing is here is I see no pre-orders shipped yet but small venders getting 2 each. Mine came from Allens Camera they got 2 each.
From a post in dpreview: I called up Zeiss on Tuesday and managed to speak to the guy responsible for North American distribution. He mentioned that Zeiss NA was expecting the lenses and would be shipping them out to the dealers starting Wednesday. He also mentioned that there were not too many lenses expected in the first shipment and that supplies would be constrained for the next 3-4 months. Take that for what it's worth. BTW, one of the two dealers I pre-ordered mentioned that they were told Zeiss had "production" issues and as a result there were not too many lenses coming in and that the first batch was delayed a bit....Show more →
Hah - that was me that talked to Zeiss the other day. Doesn't seem like any dealer in Canada has got a shipment and none of them have any idea of when to expect them either. I've also pre-ordered at Kenmore Camera in Seattle - according to them, they have 5 coming in and I am #5 on the pre-order list! We'll see what happens.
I am eager to hear feedback from those that have got the lens!

Did anyone else try to snag the 25/2 at Unique Photo? While the store is closed, I was able to have an online chat and the lens was still listed as available. I placed an order . . .
