Has anyone ordered a Batis lens from Digitalrev? Their site says "stock ordered upon request" but does anyone know what that means? I've ordered from them before, but their customer service has never been the best. Thanks!

Can anyone comment on the AF speed of the 85 batis? Lets say comparable to the 55 1.8 sony zeiss? Faster? Slower?

It might depend on the camera, but I think it is slower then 55mm. Lately I have been using the mf lenses. Also I have to use in the good day light, but usually it is fast if it catches focus initially, but if it doesn't, it goes back and forth all the way of focus range, which is slow... How Batis 85 doing compare to Leica M 90mm f/2.4
I know different speed no AF but pure IQ,any fortunate owners of both?

I don't have a Leica 90mm Summarit, but do have 90mm Summicron and a 75mm Sumamrit. I also have my Batis on its way so I should be able to compare those three. Would that help? Or are you looking to compare specifically to a 90mm Summarit?

Conclusion:

What I like about the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2:
  1. Excellent sharpness at the centre and the corners
  2. Beautiful bokeh when you focus close
  3. Good size/weight for the A7 bodies
  4. The OLED screen is very useful for astrophotographers


What I don’t like about the Zeiss Batis 25mm f/2:
  1. Vignetting is severe especially on the A7r
  2. Some perspective and barrel distortion
  3. Some chromatic aberration at the corners
