I felt like this lens wasn't getting enough love, and while there have been a number of discussions... There is no image thread. So I hope you don't mind If I start one. Share your images from Nikon's fantastic 35mm f/1.8 FX lens.... Not the DX or previous versions of 1.4, 1.8, etc.
I'll start off with a recent trip I took to an abandoned sawmill here in Ontario, Canada.
Another lovely sawmill here in Ontario - this mill features an "English Gate" frame saw. It is driven by the newly fashioned metal overshot wheel as seen in the picture which in turn drives a shaft which engages a pit gear ... ingenious but simple technology!
I was between this lens and the Sigma 35 1.4, decided to go with the nikon-I needed fast reliable auto focus and wanted to keep the weight to a minimum, so far I love the lens.
I feel like most of my shots aren't very post worthy so far. I've been mostly trying to do photojournalism type stuff (no landscapes so far) and either the pictures are too personal or don't really show off the strengths of the lens. Here's one, again, not sure it really shows off the strengths of the lens as I was trying to shoot this handheld, lowest possible shutter speed to keep ISO as low as possible, etc... but it's a shot none the less.
Any more samples? I have been debating on this or the Sigma 35 ART. And if anyone has both, would you mind doing a comparison through its aperture range of the same objects.

Same here - perhaps samples on light bursts (like say a Christmas tree at f22). My 50mm 1.8D makes nice bursts but it's a little long and my 16-85mm makes crap light bursts.
