Lets say, FF 1Ds class mirrorless. With high mpix sensor better than anything from competition and EVF rivaling OVF. Fast and accurate AF-C with proper adapter. Cause its going to be new mount.
It's probably a bad sign for Canon DSLR lovers that this ad campaign was posted in the NYTimes. If it were directed at camera enthusiasts, then sending the page link to DPReview would be just as effective and a lot cheaper.

I can't wait until it's a 1D? whatever so I can see all the people who bit** and moan producing the same lackluster work with the camera that answered their initial qualms.
Luckily most of them are posting in the nikon and alt forums these days. Still a few trolls left over to laugh at though.
Whatever forum you read about this upcoming announcement, the general sentiment in comments seems to indicate that whatever Canon says will be non-relevant. Not much faith in their marketing.
However, if Canon released such a body, you would not be able to mount your Canon glass on it without an adapter, same as you need to now with the A7...
I'd guess not. Remember, the ones now are not based on any Canon co-operation or SDK, they're basically hacked. I bet a Canon-made one would be a lot faster.
The cold truth is, if Canon releases a 1Dx2 and/or 5D4 with that 36MP Sony sensor, it would be touted as the greatest achievement in modern photography.
And on a similar note, if Canon doesn't release a sensor with the same DR of Sony's, I'm jumping ship.
