As mentioned lots of their recent teasers have been garbage, BUT those teasers well all overseas, selective market teasers, mostly in Asian countries. This one hits Canon USA too plus apparently includes huge double page spread NYT ads. I mean they'd really, really have to have lost the plot if they'd do that over some White Kiss Rebel for the rest of the world or something. So it seems like it has to be big. Then again the way their head and reps have talked it sounds like they are far, far from willing and able to deliver anything big so.
All I know is I wish I had rented or managed to buy an A7R for this past week. Today alone there were a dozen times Exmor would've made all the difference, never mind over this past week of mega-shooting. So what I saw this week was a number of scenes that were impossible for my Canon camera to see.
As usual, marketing sure had them milk the 7D2 for WAY TOO LONG. A dollar late and a day short with this 7D3 announcement. One would've expected at least the 7D4 by tomorrow.

Finally and EOS body that will mate with Nikon lenses. Now the best lenses in the world will be available to Canon shooters.....at long last!
wow canon sensor plus Nikon glass.... now that is the ticket
They see all the mirror-less camera users switching back to Canon dslr's. Lol!
They see banding in the shadows!
Developing a sensor using a more advanced process than the 50nm process they have used for eternity.
Hopefully the rumored 56MP 1dsx!
I've got it! Its the box looking logo that tipped me off!
Canon will be introducing a new kind of product packaging for use across all divisions throughout the corporation.
Canon's mission statement and goal is to expedite the recently made popular ceremonial videotaping by customers of the opening of their new Canon products for the purpose of direct display on the internet via short video posting services such as Vine and Instagram.
Canon's new box will be capable of being opened from all of its 6 sides simultaneously in less than 3 milliseconds leaving time for Canon customer reactions in their selfies! That's amazing! I always thought that was imposable without a stick of dynamite hence their claim of solving the impossible!
It took 30 years and countless man hours of intensive R&D at an expense of over 1 Trillion Yen ($9.12 Billion US) to achieve this milestone accomplishment!
That's hardly long enough for YouTube unboxing fetishists to climax.
This new box is intended for Canon customers that can't wait.
I'm sure there will be instructions on the side of the new box for the YouTube version unboxing vid's, since there is more time for the take, instructing the customer to open only one side at a time and waiting a bit soaking it all in before moving on.
